Investigation of microsatellite loci polymorphism in the Ascanian selection sheep and determination of their use possibility to determine: the genetic structure of existing and newly sheep created breeds and types; the phylogenetic level of domestic and foreign selection individual gene pools; monitoring of microevolutionary processes in sheep populations in the Ukraine south; examination of the breeding animals’ origin. Obtaining new knowledge on the molecular mechanisms of the sheep breeds' biodiversity formation and types under the influence of the selection and breeding work.
