"Construction and operation of electrical networks. Technical policy" in a field of electrical grids (hereinafter referred to as - technology policy) is a policy document governing the enterprises and entities' activities on ensuring a functioning of the trunk and cross-border electrical grids, as well as local (distribution) networks. Тechnology policy define a set of the interrelated technical requirements which supplement normative documents in force, accentuate an attention on the most progressive engineering solutions, sets the list and limits of application for the various engineering solutions, facilities and techniques aimed on increasing of technological level inherent to processes of electricity transmission and transformation, processes of management, operation and future development of electrical grids. Based on the Тechnology policy requirements, the specifications and technical documentation complex (company standards, standing orders, and rules) will be developed defining the priorities and rules of application of engineering solutions of the Тechnology policy in a course of performing the programs of new construction, modernisation and reconstruction of electrical grid facilities.
