The research deals with assessment of the ecological condition, water quality of the water-body adjacent to Dniprodzerzhinsk water-reservoir where the water intake for for industrial enterprises and the town of Komsomolsk is projected. The water-body is in the strained ecological condition owing to insufficient water-exchange, oxygen deficiency, blue-green algae "blooms". The water belongs to 3-4 quality classes. Recommendations have been worked out aimed at improving the water-body’s ecological condition, water quality, and mitigating hazards for the water-intake normal functioning.5481
