Object for study were processes of crystal structure formation during solidification and casting, physico-mechanical and operating properties of castings from aluminum alloys. Aim of work - study of fundamental aspects of rosette-like and globular morphology formation and practical aspects of rheo- and thixocasting, appropriate casting processes and properties of castings. Methods of studies - theoretical, computer modeling, physical modeling, metallography, full-scale experi-ments, standard methods for properties determination.
