There were determined thermal conditions for the growth of optically transparent ZnSxSe1-x (x~0.4) solid solutions by the Bridgman method under inert gas pressure.The iIngots of the solid solutions were grown. The distribution of the elements of the solid solutions along thegrowth direction was established by the method of electron-probe microanalysis. Produced were the samples meant for detailed investigations of opical properties at the Vienna University of Technology
