Description

The object of the research - the coastal strip territory of the Ukrainian Danube area of Lower Danube region. The subject of the scientific research is the ecological and economic assessment of risks from pollution sources exposure. The purpose of the work -the analytical estimation of the ecological state of the territory in the area of the Lower Danube region, the impact of pollution sources on the life-support system of the Lower Danube region and monitoring of existing approaches to quantitative risk assessment, based on European practice and national legislation. Methods: system analysis, synthesis, analytical, statistical, graphical methods, methods of comparisons. Objectives of the study in the context of the most serious hazards identifying: - giving the characteristic of the natural resources potential and benefits of the Lower Danube Region in the form of cross-border cooperation; - analysis of the current environmental situation in the Lower Danube region; - identification of the main factors of risk; - Assessment of anthropogenic impact on the society; - determining the degree of threat (integrated environmental assessment) in the area of the Lower Danube region; - identification of existing approaches to quantitative risk assessment, based on European practice and national legislation.
