Results of studies on forestry and environmental effectiveness of using horse transport, crawler and wheeled skidding tractors, various types of cableways, multi-operational machines (harvester and forwarder) during different ways of felling, as well as characteristics of forest transportation network on model territories in the mountain forests of the Carpathian region are presented. "Recommendations on optimization of the transport component of the cost of wood" and "Recommendations for improving the technology of wood harvesting during different ways of felling in the mountain forests of Ukrainian Carpathians" were developed.
