Description

Metallothermic reduction of halogenides of VI-B group refractory metals and silicon was investigated depending on the nature of the reducing metal, the temperature, and the degree of compression. The physico-mechanical and chemical properties of nanostructured powders and rods of VI-B group metals silicides were studied. The physico-chemical properties, crystal structure and operational characteristics of the powders and coatings were studied.
