Report about research work: 8p., 64 sources. The first stage of work is studying the literary sources. Research object is the novels by W. Styron Sophie's Choice (1979) and J. Barnes A History of the World in 10 1/2 Chapters (1989). Universal signs of literary motives and functioning of these motives are considered. Despite the fact that the mythical and poetical consciousness ontologically always contained the ambivalent properties of archetypes generally the positive connotations of houses, roads and child were demanded in artistic aesthetic systems.
