Phonon spectra of several topical quaternary compounds metal chalcogenides first, second and fourth groups of the periodic system was calculated by using density functional theory (DFT) method. Experimental study of Raman scattering crystals Cu2ZnGeS4, Cu2ZnSiSe4 and mixed Cu2Zn(Sn1-xGex)S4 was performed and obtained a good agreement with theoretical calculations. Established and explained the anomalous properties of lattice dynamics in this class of crystals compared to classical semiconductors A2B6 and A3B5.
