Research methods - analysis and synthesis, statistical, comparative, generalization, systematization, questionnaire. During the R&D, the acts of microbiological and entomological state of archives and documents of state archival institutions were analysed as the main results of their monitoring, which was conducted by the Ukrainian Research Institute of Archival Affairs and Records Keeping during 2015-2018. The empirical data available was analysed, systematized and structured into the analytical review that demonstrates the current state of the microbiological and entomological state of the archives and documents of the NAH of the national state archival institutions, determines the factors that affect the state of documents preservation, and provides recommendations for improving their physical condition. A control survey of archives and documents of separate state archival institutions was performed to compare previously obtained and currently available data on the preservation of the NAH documents. Surveys of the staff of the state archives were conducted, the proposals on improvement of the process of biodegradation neutralization and prevention of bio-damage at preservation of archival documents were generalized. As a result of the R&D, an analytical review of the empirical data obtained from the National Archival Holdings document retention monitoring in 2015-2018 was developed, with recommendations for improving the physical condition of the documents and a final R&D report.5481 Product Description popup.authors Гула О.
