 Research aim - to theoretically substantiate and experimentally test the content, forms, and methods of formation of senior students' readiness to defend the Homeland in general educational institutions of different types. Research object - the process of formation of high school students' readiness to defend the Homeland in general educational institutions. Research subject - educational conditions and methods of formations of high school students' readiness to defend the Homeland in general educational institutions. Research methods: theoretical - studying, analysis, and generalization of educational and methodic literature on the problem under research in order to define the theoretical bases of the theme, development of scientific approaches to determining the essence and content of the main concepts and substantiation of the content, forms, and methods of formation of high school students' readiness to defend the Homeland; studying and generalization of general educational institutions' experience on formation of senior students' readiness to defend the Homeland; analysis of instructive-methodic materials and legal documents in order to study the senior students' readiness to defend the Homeland; empirical - educational observations during out-of-class activities, narration, questionnaire, interviewing in the process of the formation stages of the experiment; educational experiment in order to define the efficiency of the content, forms, and methods of formation of high school students' readiness to defend the Homeland; statistical - methods of mathematic statistics in order to carry out a comparative analysis of the research's results, to clarify the dynamics of quantitative changes in the levels of senior students' readiness to defend the Homeland. Research novelty: the research scientists develop the methods of formation of high school students' readiness to defend the Homeland in general educational institutions based on the unity of studying and training
