 Selection and separation of coal samples from coal bed d4 in the section 11 of the south lava of the block number 10 - in the zone of geological disturbance; as well as beds-satellites: d3, d40, d41 of enterprise "Pokrovskoe" were done. With the help of a complex method using chromatography, investigation of the propensity of specified coal beds to spontaneous combustion was carried out. It is established that coal from coal bed d4 and bed-satellite d41 is not dangerous for spontaneous combustion. Coal from coal beds d3, d40 is dangerous for spontaneous combustion in zones of geological disturbances. Based on the results of the performed work, recommendations were made and transferred to the mines.
