The object of research – ensuring gas safety during mining operations in the conditions of SE «Mine named after M.S. Surgaya». The purpose of the work is to develop the Project of degassing of the excavation section 1 "bis" of the eastern lava of the formation C11 of the State Enterprise "Mine named after M.S. Surgaya” and to coordinate“ Project of isolated methane removal from the produced space 1 “bis” of the eastern lava of formation C11 outside the excavation section along the pipeline with the help of gas extraction fans ВМЦГ-7M ”. Research methods - generalization and analysis of results, methods mat. statistics, calculations by standard methods. As a result of the work, the technical documentation for the development of 1 "bis" of the eastern lava of the C11 formation of the SE "Mine named after M.S. Surgaya». The calculation of the expected methane release within the excavation site, the calculation of the required degassing efficiency and air flow for ventilation of the excavation site, the calculation of the required diameter of the pipeline and the mode of operation of vacuum pumps. "Measures to control the degassing system during fires" have been developed. The project of degassing of the excavation section 1 "bis" of the eastern lava of the formation C11 of the SE "Mine named after M.S. Surgaya». The project of "isolated methane removal from the produced space 1" bis "of the eastern lava of formation C11 outside the excavation section along the pipeline with the help of gas suction fans ВМЦГ-7M" was approved. The results of the implementation of developments – the application of the developed recommendations allowed to ensure gas safety during mining operations, which is of great socio-economic and environmental importance.
