 The regularities of variability and inheritance of the main economically valuable traits of fodder beans have been studied. Sources of productivity, shortened vegetation period, resistance to major diseases have been identified and a new parent material has been created. Promising selection numbers of fodder beans corresponding to the parameters of the future variety have been selected.
