 Mass media is a special social and creative sphere, which, first of all, informs about everything that is happening around, interprets the events and phenomena of everyday life, performs a scientific and educational function. In fact, the national information space appeared to be unprotected from external information influences. Today, this is one of the main threats to the further valuable development of Ukraine. Therefore, the primary task should be a scientific work aimed at solving the problem of developing the conceptual bases of the state information policy, taking into account the existing gaps, in particular on the information-content segment (regarding the development of the information space and the development of official communication), as well as the peculiarities of the latest challenges of the information age. Taking into account the above-mentioned components, it is worth exploring the national information space for a certain time – from its formation and activities in times of totalitarianism to modern mass media manifestations.
