 The training meeting aims to acquaint the candidates for winterers of the Ukrainian Antarctic Expedition with the scientific and engineering history of the station; scientific and engineering equipment of the Ukrainian Antarctic Station "Akademik Vernadsky" (UAS); basic principles of research conducted at UAS; features of life, work and safety in Antarctic conditions; legal aspects of life in Antarctica; psychological testing and training of candidates; features of preparation, procurement, payments and other differences of this expedition, as well as in the presentation of work programs of each candidates for the year and getting to know each other.
