The object of research is the research work of higher education students in the field of Ukrainian language culture and methods of its teaching in educational institutions. The subject of the research are methods and techniques of formation of scientific competence of future educators on the problems of Ukrainian language culture and methods of its teaching in educational institutions. The purpose of the study: to study the specifics of research work of future teachers on the problems of Ukrainian language culture and methods of its teaching in educational institutions; raising the general level of students' speech culture, deepening knowledge of the theory and practice of Ukrainian language culture; consolidation of skills and abilities of their creative application in situations of professional communication; development of creative abilities of applicants for higher education. Research methods: theoretical: analysis of linguistic, pedagogical, linguodidactical literature to determine the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study; synthesis and generalization of scientific positions on the chosen problem; empirical: observation of the educational process in primary school in Ukrainian language lessons to obtain primary information; interviews, questionnaires to determine the levels of speech development of students.
