The object of research is the dustiness of air in underground workings. The purpose of the work is to determine the allowable levels of air dust in the mining and technical conditions of SE "Mine named after M.S. Surgaya». Research methods - generalization and analysis of measurement results and regulatory documentation, methods mat. statistics, calculations according to standard methods. As a result of researches the analysis of methods of definition of dustiness of air and calculation of admissible level of dustiness on the factor of critical dust loadings for conditions of SE "Mine named after M.S. Surgaya». The conclusion on technically achievable levels of residual dust in the air has been agreed. As a result of the application of the developed recommendations, safety in mining operations is ensured, which is of great socio-economic and environmental importance.
