 The purpose of the study is to determine psychological features and develop training for the formation of the motivation of personnel of security police bodies to perform official duties. The object of the study is the professional motivation of security police officers to perform their duties. The subject of the study is the psychological features (regularities) of the formation and development of the motivation of personnel of security police bodies to perform official duties. Research methods - the use of a complex of general scientific methods, namely: theoretical - analysis, synthesis, comparison, modeling, generalization, systematization, study and analysis of the literature on the research problem and the legal framework of the National Police of Ukraine; empirical - questionnaire survey, psychodiagnostic methods, expert evaluations, case method, semi-standardized individual conversations, observations; statistical - correlation analysis, reliability analysis of differences in mean values based on Student's t-test. Obtained results: methodical recommendations dedicated to the study of professional motivation of security police officers have been prepared. In the work, in the context of the performance of official duties, the content of professional motivation is revealed and a program for studying the motivational component of the professional activity of the personnel of security police bodies is proposed as one of the main directions of the system of psychological support of the National Police of Ukraine. The training on the formation of motivation for professional activity is presented. The available material contains recommendations that can be used in the activities of personnel staff and psychologists of psychological support units of the National Police of Ukraine, as well as scientists and teachers of higher education institutions with specific learning conditions.
