 The most significant scientific results achieved during the research: a theoretical analysis of the problem of the development of the content of the professional training of future teachers in institutions of professional pre-higher and higher pedagogical education was carried out; based on the study of legislative and normative documents, it was found that in the context of modern changes in the field of pedagogical education, associated with the entry of Ukrainian higher pedagogical education into the European educational space, the problem of improving the quality of professional, in particular, psychological and pedagogical training of future teachers at all educational levels: levels of professional preliminary education, bachelor's, master's, doctoral; it is determined that the content of the teacher's psychological and pedagogical training is a spectrum of necessary professional knowledge on the problems of theory and practice of disseminating and generating innovative pedagogical and psychological experience in teaching activities, which is aimed at the formation and development of the teacher's professional competences (linguistic, communicative, subject, methodical, informational - digital, psychological, emotional-ethical, pedagogical partnership, reflective, etc.), which enable professional growth and success in the teaching profession. The state of readiness of teachers of institutions of professional pre-higher and higher education to update the content of psychological and pedagogical training of future teachers on the basis of competence has been revealed. According to the results of the ascertaining experiment, it was found that there is a need to develop scientific and methodological support for updating the content of psychological and pedagogical training of future teachers, as well as substantiating the pedagogical conditions for updating the corresponding content in institutions of professional pre-higher and higher pedagogical education.
