 The object of research is a standard sample of potassium-40 (K-40), which is created for the purpose of use during verification of legally regulated measuring equipment. The purpose of the NDR is the research necessary to establish the characteristics of the properties of the created standard sample in the field of potassium-40 ionizing radiation (K-40) in accordance with DSTU-N ISO Guide 35:2018 and DSTU ISO 17034:2020, which are confirmed by a certificate in accordance with DSTU-N ISO Guide 31: 2008 (or ISO Guide 31:2015) for use in the field of legally regulated metrology. The subject of the study was the determination of the parameters of homogeneity and stability of the material necessary for the creation of a standard sample of potassium-40 (K-40), as well as the determination of the activity values ​​of this standard sample, which is planned for use during the verification of legally regulated FTAs.
