The purpose of the work is to develop of methods for adaption of the architectural and urban planning component of Ukrainian cities to the conditions of post-industrial changes in the principles of their functioning. Research methods – environmental approach, structural analysis of qualitative characteristics of architectural and urban planning nodes, compositional analysis, method of scientific interpretation, methods of data sampling and systematization. The results of the second stage of the research work aimed at identifying, describing and formulating concepts for adapting the architectural and urban planning components of Ukrainian cities to the conditions of post-industrial change in their operating principles are presented. The following were studied: methods, theories and concepts for adapting the architectural and urban planning components of Ukrainian cities to the conditions of post-industrial change in the principles of their functioning, based on the analysis and systematisation of the latest global trends in urban development in a post-industrial society; the development of methods for architectural, urban planning and urban improvement of urban infrastructures and their elements in the context of ensuring sustainable urban development. In addition, the following was investigated: digital twins of cities are a powerful tool for the post-industrial transformation of Ukrainian cities, which is particularly relevant in the context of post-war reconstruction; the experience of developing methods for modernising outdated housing stock was also considered; it was found that the concept of integrated urban development is one of the effective tools for adapting the architectural and urban structure to post-industrial conditions.
