Аналіз особливостей перекладу емоційно-забарвленої лексики в романі «Номер нуль» італійського письменника Умберто Еко є наразі єдиним подібним дослідженням. Окрім цього, актуальність полягає в узагальненні методів перекладу та використанні перекладацьких трансформацій при перекладі творів з італійської мови на українську мову. Об’єкт дослідження є емоційно-забарвлена лексика в нуар-романі Умберто Еко «Номер нуль». Предметом дослідження є особливості перекладу емоційно-забарвленої лексики українською мовою. Маємо на меті є дослідити особливості перекладу емоційно-забарвленої лексики в романі «Номер нуль» У. Еко. Переклад італійської емоційно-забарвленої лексики є певним викликом для перекладачі через різницю в експресивності мовних культур, історичних особливостей та норм вживання певних мовних регістрів. Аналізуючи переклад емоціно-забарвленої лексики в романі «Номер нуль» У. Еко можна визначити, що найпоширенішими стратегіями перекладу є функціональна заміна, контекстуальна заіна, смисловий розвиток, нейтралізація, субституція. Ці стратегії допомагають зберегти культурний контекст та зрозумілість для української аудиторії. Our work is aimed at studying the peculiarities of translating emotionally colored vocabulary in the novel «Number Zero» by Umberto Eco. The analysis of the peculiarities of the translation of emotionally colored vocabulary in the novel «Number Zero» by the Italian writer Umberto Eco is currently the only such study. In addition, the relevance lies in the generalization of translation methods and the use of translation transformations when translating works from Italian into Ukrainian. The object of the study is the emotionally colored vocabulary in Umberto Eco's noir novel Number Zero. The subject of the study is the peculiarities of translating emotionally colored vocabulary into Ukrainian. The aim of the study is to investigate the peculiarities of translating emotionally colored vocabulary in Umberto Eco's novel Number Zero. The translation of Italian emotionally colored vocabulary is a challenge for translators due to the difference in the expressiveness of language cultures, historical features and norms of use of certain language registers. Analyzing the translation of emotionally colored vocabulary in U. Eco's novel Number Zero, we can determine that the most common translation strategies are functional substitution, contextual substitution, semantic development, neutralization, and substitution. These strategies help to preserve the cultural context and comprehensibility for the Ukrainian audience.
