The purpose of research - development and testing of methodological tools for integrated assessment of investment attractiveness of regions, as well as identifying key areas and study ways and methods to increase investment attractiveness of region of Western Ukraine. Methods of investigation - a systematic approach, trend analysis, correlation and regression analysis methods and expert ratings, economic-mathematical modeling and others. Methodical principles of monitoring investment attractiveness. Methodical recommendations for the analysis of investment risks and economic potential. An algorithm for integrated assessment of investment attractiveness of the region that defines the consistent implementation of the appropriate stages of evaluation, which eventually can build a ranking of regions as the actual and projected for synthetic and integral indicator of investment attractiveness. The method of identifying key areas and ways to increase investment attractiveness based on the strategic environment of diagnosis using SWOT-analysis. The main practical results of the study were tested and received positive feedback from the Main Directorate of Economy governors Rivne, Volyn, Ternopil, Lviv, Transcarpathian and Chernivtsi and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
