Description

The object of research: seed production and breeding of oil flax. The purpose of the study: the study of promising numbers in the competitive and preliminary variety testing and seed propagation of new varieties. Research methods. The main research methods: measuring and weighing - to determine the height of plants, yields of straw, fiber, seeds, their accumulation of air-dry mass; analytical - to determine the quality of the fiber and physical and mechanical properties; settlement and comparative - for the economic evaluation of growing different varieties of flax; statistical, variance and regression. Research results. According to the results of the preliminary variety testing, four samples were identified, which in terms of the set of indicators exceed the standard Pivdenna Nich, and in terms of seed yield - 37.6-54.7% (+ 0.50-0.83 t / ha). In the competitive variety testing, all numbers exceeded the standard by 0.20-0.85 t / ha in terms of seed yield and oil yield, selection numbers exceeded the standard South Night by 0.12 - 0.35 t / ha against 0.53 t / ha in the standard. In the control nursery, all samples exceeded the standard seed yield by 0.20-0.61 t / ha, which is 15.0-45.9% and the oil content in the seeds was more than 41.0-44.0%. According to the results of the study of the collection, genetic sources of the main economic and useful traits are identified: seed productivity, oil content in seeds, early maturity, which are recommended to be widely involved in hybridization to create new source material. In 2018, the State Register of Varieties of Ukraine included two varieties of flax curls Aquamarine, North Star with a seed yield of 2.5-3.1 t / ha, oil content in the seeds of 42.0-45.0. In 2019-2020 were sent to the various examination two oil flax varieties Albion and Lancelot. Methodical recommendations "Improved method of flax hybridization" and "Breeding and primary seed production of oil flax (L. humile Mill.)" were published.
