With the objective to develop an optimal scheme pf diagnostic and treatment procedures in cases of acute viral exacerbation (AE) of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), were observed 126 patients with AE COPD, in 69,9 % of cases AE was caused by bacterial patogens, in 15,9 % — viral and in 14,2 % — there associations. Combined antibacterial and base therapy of AE COPD with arbidol or spirulina due to increasing of efficacy of treatment on 30,0% and decrease AE duration on 4 days.
