Linear mathematical models of the dynamics of feed lines for oxidizer and fuel of the sustainer liquid propulsion system of the Taurus II launch vehicle first stage are developed. Preliminary frequency characteristics of feed lines for oxidizer and fuel without POGO-suppressor, and a feed line of oxidizer with a gas liquid damper located in bifurcation of an oxidizer feed line are determined. Preliminary requirements for a damper of launch vehicle longitudinal oscillations are established. Preliminary conclusion on dynamical characteristics of the liquid propulsion system with damper of longitudinal oscillations providing the Taurus-II launch vehicle longitudinal stability is presented. Results of preliminary theoretical analysis of dynamic characteristics of the liquid propulsion system of the Taurus II launch vehicle with the damper of the longitudinal oscillation will be used for analyzing of the longitudinal stability of the Taurus II launch vehicle.
