This space has been created for open and responsible peer review of academic texts submitted to the official NRAT web portal.
Here you can find a brief overview of the open responsible review process, its values, and its significance for modern science.
Our open peer review service allows authorized users of the National Repository to prepare and publish their own reviews of academic texts submitted to the NRAT without any external moderation. To do this, you must familiarize yourself with the relevant NRAT policy and confirm your agreement. A review can be prepared for any academic text available in open access in the National Repository of Academic Texts. The standard review template contains the following elements: relevance, general characteristics, scientific and practical value, shortcomings and controversial points, and general conclusion. The review also contains information from the NRAT academic text database (title and type of reviewed text, URL link to its metadata in the NRAT, registration number in the system) and information about the expert (first and last name, academic degree, academic title, affiliation).
To search for published open reviews, you can use the NRAT web portal page https://nrat.ukrintei.ua/en/reviews/ or the academic text search service https://nrat.ukrintei.ua/en/searchdb/#advanced. A special mark on the information search bar “pen” is designed to activate the review service, and the number above it indicates the availability of already published reviews for the selected text. It is also possible to filter academic texts by the availability of open reviews.
Reviews may be published by users who agree with NRAT's policy on open responsible reviewing, agree to the disclosure of reviewer data, have no conflict of interest regarding the reviewed scientific work, and have undergone the affiliation verification procedure. The latter is necessary for the proper identification of reviewers and to prevent misconduct in the conduct of scientific expertise.
If you are ready to write a review, please read the explanations above, go through the affiliation authorization process (the “Login/Register” button at the top right), and then click on the “pen” icon on the academic text search page to write a review for the specific text you have selected.
For instructional materials on affiliate authorization and preparing and publishing an open review can be found in the Q&A section.
