The basis of comparativism, as a scientific paradigm of modern scientific knowledge, is the idea of ​​the unity and diversity of humanity. Therefore, the comparative line of research provides a comparison of literary works, their components, phenomena and facts belonging to different literatures, and establishes connections between Ukrainian, world literature and the literature of national minorities. The globalization of modern society has actualized the phenomenon of multicultural discourse, which is focused on the study of genre specificity, poetics, and problematics of authors' works at the cultural "crossroads" of literary traditions. Literary processes of modern times can also be understood from the standpoint of the logic of transitivity.
