To study the appearance of a wide variety of such defects, to establish their equilibrium concentrations in order to control the properties of crystalline materials and to determine proper conditions for the creation of such materials. To identify main defective structures and mechanisms of their appearance and disappearance in nanoscale materials. To establish the possibility to control optical properties of single crystals and nanosized heterostructures by a special choice of their geometry and by controlled injection of dopants. It is supposed to determine the limits of applicability of the diffusive approximation to nanoscale and mesoscale systems by comparing its results with the results of the direct computer simulation.
