General fundamental issue of the present study is the solution of both theoretical and practical tasks. Theoretical tasks embrace distinguishing common and distinctive features of the languages in question with reference to the use of language means, specifying peculiarities of the languages compared, identifying the reasons for the common and distinctive features existence, verifying deductive universals on the basis of the languages under analysis. Practical tasks include determining methodological relevance of the common and distinctive features between the languages, defining the character of the language interference, etc. The project asserts that any natural human language is characterised by three fundamental features: universal (those intrinsic to all or the majority of the languages); typological (those found in a certain group of languages, thus creating a language type); individual (those inherent in one language only), eventually an array of features will be obtained which will distinguish a certain group of languages among others. popup.nrat_date 2024-12-10 Close
