In this context, the relevance of financial science's adequate response to the challenges of today is growing, the imperative of which is the willingness of financiers to change existing theoretical positions, to deepen the interpretation of the nature of financial categories, to permanently monitor the effectiveness of financial policy and to substantiate its effectiveness. The systemic nature of the crisis in Ukraine necessitates the strengthening of the stimulating role of financial policy, which is formed by the reconciliation of measures to achieve common goals, such as balancing of incomes and expenditures of the budget, reduction of tax and debt load, maintenance of stability of the national currency, reduction of interest rates, increase in domestic production and employment, ensuring macro-financial stability and restoring structurally balanced economic growth, etc. In this complex process, the financial policy of modernizing the economy and society plays an important role.
