Synthesis and research of macrocycles is an important area of target-oriented search for new bioactive compounds for drug development. PTPases are recognized and therapeutically important targets in the treatment of type 2 diabetes, cancer and other diseases. The project will be focused on the development of new methods of synthesis and study of biological activity in vitro and in silico of new types of calixarenes, thiacalixarenes and sulfonylcalixarenes, including enantiomerically pure inherently chiral derivatives, functionalized at the upper and (or) the lower rim with biologically relevant substituents. The project is interdisciplinary one and aims to gain new fundamental knowledge that will determine approaches to the design of effective and selective calixarene-based inhibitors of enzymes. popup.nrat_date 2024-12-10 Close
