The first one is an application of alternative methods of the data processing to perform analysis of the TESS space mission data. We suggest using the machine learning methods for morphological classification of minima in lightcurves of stars, probably due to the phenomenon of a comet transit. Our project will be the first one implementing the machine learning methods for morphological classification of transits. The second aspect includes reproducing the shape of the lightcurve of a star during the exocomet transit, using the modelling of dusty comet atmosphere. This approach allows us to estimate some physical parameters of exocometary dust, such as particle size distribution, real and imaginary parts of the refractive index of cometary dust as well as the dust production rate of the exocomet nucleus. popup.nrat_date 2024-12-10 Close
