We aim to contribute with measurements of proton-nuclear and nuclear-nuclear collisions near 0.1 TeV, 5 TeV and 8 TeV centre-of-mass energies within the LHCb experiment to intensify studies in this field. We also intend to contribute proposing of a fixed-target mode of the LHCb experiment by installing a wire target based on metal microstrip detectors designed and built at KINR in the halo of the LHC beam. The solid target is a suitable solution providing possibilities to study heavy nuclei collisions in a significantly extended range of nuclei at energies of about 0.1 TeV per nucleon, including search for QGP signals in a poorly explored region of the QCD phase diagram. popup.nrat_date 2024-12-10 Close
