The study of this issue makes it possible to understand what visual images were formed and functioned during the economic upheavals and radical social changes of the 20s and 40s, how ethnic communities demonstrated to both internal and external recipients their position, how they symbolically imagined their place in Soviet society, which enshrined the diversity of ethnic communities, perceptions of identity and their own past. In a broader sense, it is about how visual media served as a means of universal communication, firstly, within ethnic communities, secondly, between different national arrays, and thirdly, between them and totalitarian regimes in the context of socio-political, socio- economic and military extremes. popup.nrat_date 2024-12-09 Close
