Pisarzhevskii Institute Of Physical Chemistry of The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description1 The aim of this project is to develop the effective Y-Mg-Si(Al) oxide catalysts for the processes of bioethanol conversion with doubling of the carbon chain to obtain 1,3-butadiene and 1-butanol. The urgency of the work is defined by the need of modern chemical industry in active and selective catalysts for the processing of raw materials of non-petroleum origin, in particular for the production of industrially important substances (1,3-butadiene, 1-butanol) from ethanol. It is expected that the regulation of acid-base and redox characteristics of the catalyst surface will accelerate the key steps of these processes (ethanol dehydrogenation and aldol condensation of the formed aldehyde). The optimization of the composition of Y-Mg-Si(Al) oxide system and the introduction of dehydrating additives (including ZnO, Cu, Ni) will allow us to obtain catalysts with high activity and selectivity in these processes of ethanol condensation into industrially important value-added chemical products (1,3-butadiene, 1-butanol). During the development of the catalysts, the relationships between the composition and physicochemical (structural, acid-base) characteristics and catalytic properties (activity, selectivity) of Y-Mg-Si(Al) oxide catalysts and the effect of additives (ZnO, Cu, Ni) on them will be found. The composition of catalytic systems and process parameters (reaction mixture composition, temperature, gas hourly space velocity) will be optimized to achieve high selectivity and yield of the mentioned above C-C coupling products. popup.nrat_date 2024-12-09 Close
