Registration Date 01-04-2022 Organization Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry. VI Vernadsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description1 The aim of the project is to develop methods for the synthesis and production of fluorescently tagged tris-dioximate iron(II) clathrochelate complexes, to study their properties and interactions with proteins and biological activity in cancer cells, and to develop methods for synthesizing cytotoxic clathrochelate complexes with finite reactive groups, their modification in vivo by fluorescent groups using copper-promoted "click" cycloaddition reactions. To achieve this goal it is planned to develop methods for targeted modification of iron(II) clathrochelate complexes; to synthesize a number of iron(II) clathrochelates functionalized by linker groups - precursors of fluorescently tagged complexes; to work out methods of modification of linker groups by fluorescent tags; to characterize the properties of synthesized iron(II) clathrochelates and to study their interaction with globular proteins, in particular, albumins; to study the potential biological activity of iron(II) clathrochelates in cancer cells, to investigate their distribution and accumulation in cancer cells; to synthesize clathrochelate complexes containing both a biologically active fragment and a reactive ethynyl group, to investigate their interaction with globular proteins, biological activity and the possibility of modification in vivo using the "click" cycloaddition reaction. popup.nrat_date 2024-12-09 Close
