Information × Registration Number 0123U100990, R & D request Title Physical effects and molecular mechanisms of interaction of biological molecules and biological systems of different levels of structural organization with small molecules, nanosized and supramolecular complexes Head Dovbeshko Halyna I., Доктор фізико-математичних наук Registration Date 10-02-2023 Organization Institute of Physics of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description1 The purpose of the work is to study the physical effects and molecular mechanisms of the interaction of bioorganic molecules (amino acids, nucleotide bases, lipids), biological macromolecules (peptides, proteins, oligonucleotides, nucleic acids), supramolecular nanoscale biological systems (biological membranes, lipid aggregates, protein complexes), and as well as higher levels of structural organization of biological systems - living cells and tissues, with nanoscale and supramolecular complexes. As a result of the implementation of the project, various types of tumor cell cultures will be analyzed, as well as sections of pathological tissues - tumor tissues of various degrees of malignancy and different localization, dura mater tissues after craniocerebral trauma before and after the use of therapeutic procedures. The research methodology is based on a complementary multidisciplinary approach using experimental methods (optical and vibrational spectroscopy, electron, atomic force and confocal microscopy) and computer modeling (quantum-chemical and molecular-dynamic calculations, molecular docking). It is planned to investigate the influence of various drugs (antiviral, antitumor, thrombolytic drugs), as well as the latest methods of treatment on the structure and morphological features of the studied objects in order to identify patterns and physical mechanisms of such interactions, to improve the methods of their experimental study, to propose new computational algorithms and methods data analysis during their in silico study. Understanding the peculiarities of the structure and dynamic behavior of biological molecules and systems during their interaction with small molecules, nanoscale and supramolecular complexes will have fundamental scientific importance for molecular biophysics, will open the way for a directed influence on their functionally important properties for the further creation of artificial nano and other devices for use in various spheres of life popup.nrat_date 2024-12-09 Close
