Registration Date 13-02-2023 Organization Institute of Physics of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description1 The purpose of the work is to develop and investigate new methods of controlling the spatio-temporal structure of laser radiation using nanostructured diffractive and nonlinear materials inside wide-aperture laser resonators. To achieve the goal of the work, the following tasks will be solved: a) the limit possibilities of increasing the brightness of laser radiation due to the angular filtering of three-dimensional photonic crystals and the effect of supercollimation of diffraction metamirrors will be studied; b) ultra-narrowband spectral-angular filters will be developed based on metal-dielectric multilayer nanostructures proposed by the authors of the project, which will be able to find application in many optical systems, such as atmospheric lidars, optical sensors, astronomical telescopes and many others; c) the possibilities of synthesized diffraction elements for intra-resonator spatial-angular correction of laser radiation will be investigated; d) lasers that generate beams with rotating multi-vortex structures will be created, as well as technical possibilities for controlling their topological structure, intensity, and polarization state will be created (such lasers are of interest for optical control of the spatial position of microparticles and for optical communication systems through a turbulent atmosphere ); e) solid-state bistable lasers that generate fundamental, vortex, and polarization spatial solitons will be created. As a result of the work, compact high-power lasers with increased brightness will be designed and built, as well as lasers that generate individual transverse modes (petal modes, Bessel and Airy modes), as well as rotational topological modes and spatial solitons for a number of important applications. popup.nrat_date 2024-12-09 Close
