The examination of the issue means: analyzing a military operation of the AFU aimed at defending Kherson and its suburbs and characterizing the specificity of organizing, supporting and training Territorial Defense Forces (TDF) in Kherson on the eve of a full-scale invasion and their activity in the first days of russian aggression from February, 24 to March, 1, 2022. Another purpose of the study is to describe the details of the enemy troops’ attacking the town, to identify Kherson defenders and ensure appropriate commemoration of them. An important component of the research is investigation of the history of civil resistance in the town that took on forms of peaceful protests and non-violent resistance and partisan movement in Kherson that manifested itself in collecting information for the AFU, destroying military equipment of the enemies, damaging their logistics etc. The activity of volunteers in Kherson during the occupation also deserves appropriate exploration, since it enabled many residents of the town to survive in the occupation. The obtained results are expected to be shared in media, presented in reports in different scientific events (round tables, international and Ukrainian scientific-practical conferences), examined in studies published in collections of scientific works and generalized in a monography revealing this issue. popup.nrat_date 2024-12-09 Close
