The rapid development of innovative technologies in the world, against the background of globalization challenges and the strengthening of competitive confrontation in many sectors of the economy, in recent years proves the need to reformat views and approaches to the management of the scientific and technical progress of countries. Among the basic elements of this, scientists and practitioners pay special attention to the transfer and commercialization of the R&D results, which lead to a change in technological systems and have an impact on the socio-economic development of regions. The substantiation of effective economic tools and levers for the implementation of the transfer and commercialization of the R&D results contributes to the successful conduct of these processes and, accordingly, makes it possible to strengthen the competitive positions of countries and stimulate scientific and technical progress in the world. Modern trends in the development of the R&D results actualize the problems associated with the effective support of the transfer and commercialization of technologies in the strategic development of business entities’ systems. Currently, there are many methods and models aimed at solving the issues of effective transfer and commercialization of the R&D results. However, most of them are designed for specific situations, markets or even technologies. Universal methodological developments are presented fragmentarily.
