The genera oak Quercus L., creeper Parthenocissus Planch., dogwood (cornelian cherry) Cornus L., avens Geum L. (in particular, the invasive species red oak Quercus rubra L.) are of scientific interest in this regard. The results of the analysis of scientific primary sources indicate a lack of information on the complex pharmacognostic, phytochemical, technological and chemotaxonomic research of the genera creeper Parthenocissus Planch., oak Quercus L., dogwood, Cornus L., avens Geum L. considering the chemical composition of vegetative and generative organs and establishing correlative connections between chemical and morphological structure, as well as identification profiles of genera. Therefore, the study of representatives of the genera creeper Parthenocissus Planch., oak Quercus L., dogwood Cornus L., avens Geum L. with the aim of identifying promising species as sources of BAS for expanding the nomenclature of native raw materials and obtaining on their basis medicinal products of various pharmacological effects predicted on the basis of BAS available in raw materials, is a current overdue task.
