The aim of this work is to synthesize and research of new materials based on magnesium, transition and rare earth metals for hydrogen storage and production, as well as for effective electrochemical sorption-desorption of hydrogen; to test selected samples of materials with improved functional characteristics in hydrogen energy devices (hydrogen accumulators, devices for generating of hydrogen, metal hydride electrodes); to develop a coating on titanium alloys with increased heat resistance and electrical conductivity for lightweight interconnects of fuel cells, as well as to establish patterns of influence of high-temperature (600°C) hydrated hydrogen on the functional properties of interconnect materials of fuel cells.
