In literary terms, this socio-cultural situation creates a demand for stories that thematize the events of the traumatic past and place them in the context of the present, for hybrid narratives that combine documentary and fictional elements in different proportions. This applies not only to new texts but also to the actualization of old ones. Contemporary literary and artistic processes and literary criticism constantly turn to the prehistory that shaped them and continues to shape them. It is not so much about the historical novel as a classic genre as it is about the artistic apparatus used today to depict the events of the past and explicate its vision. After all, any literature is intricately connected and based on many social, cultural, and aesthetic components. This complicated paradigm should be the subject of future research based on several Western literatures, including English, French, American, and Canadian. Each chapter of this study aims to present the functioning of the problem of historical space in synchrony as broadly as possible. popup.nrat_date 2024-12-09 Close
