Study of the nature, properties, reactivity and functional activity of the modified surface of nano-sized materials. Adsorption, catalytic and electrochemical processes occurring at the phase separation boundary are highly effective and are implemented in the purification processes of gas and liquid media, in the production of high-purity substances, in industrial and environmental catalysis, in the development of effective current sources, in environmental protection and medicine. The solution to many technical and materials science problems is determined by the creation and use of highly active materials for targeted purposes. The decisive influence on the course and efficiency of interphase heterogeneous processes is exerted by the specific surface area of materials, the composition and structure of the surface layer of adsorbents.
