The usefulness is primarily related to the fact that nitrogen-containing heterocycles are widely used in medical practice as medicinal drags. Most modern drags are derivatives of nitrogen-containing heterocycles. The development of new synthetic approaches to obtaining nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds is an urgent problem of organic chemistry. Indeed, only a small part of research is devoted to the search for fundamentally new approaches to the synthesis of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds, while the majority of scientific works are devoted to the improvement of known methods of their synthesis. Within the limits of the established tasks, the development of new approaches to the synthesis of the indicated types of compounds on a single basis is particularly important. Functionalization of benzoimidazole derivatives can become such a basis. This approach allows creating new methods of forming carbon-carbon and carbon-nitrogen bonds, enriching experimental and theoretical organic chemistry with new fundamental knowledge that requires understanding, enrichment and systematization. In the course of the actual project, original methods of synthesis of benzoimidazoles will be developed. Experimental data will be obtained on the influence of the effects of substituents, the connection of cycles and the nature of the heterofragment on the direction of these reactions.
