Information × Registration Number 0125U000422, R & D request Title Global changes in the solar atmosphere on long time scales Head Shchukina Nataliya H., Доктор фізико-математичних наук Registration Date 19-01-2025 Organization Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description1 The goal of the project is to obtain new fundamental knowledge about the poorly-studied global changes in the solar atmosphere during the 11-year solar activity cycle and their impact on Earth, specifically:on the global changes in the thermodynamic state of the quiet Sun’s photosphere over long-term time scales; on the topology and evolution of magnetic fields in the photosphere, chromosphere, and corona of the Sun over time; on the magnetohydrodynamic state and temporal evolution of solar active phenomena of various scales; on the connection between the Sun’s magnetic activity and geophysical processes, specifically tectonic and seismic activity on Earth. This knowledge is planned to be obtained through observations using the solar horizontal telescope of Ernest Gurtovenko at the Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (MAO NASU) and through open databases of ground-based and space observations. popup.nrat_date 2025-01-19 Close
