Paton Electric Welding Institute (PWI) popup.description1 The primary goal of the study is to determine the relationship between the AE parameters associated with the arc electric welding (AEW) and contact spot electric welding (SST) processes and the material's state following execution (i.e., the defectivity and service life of products with welded joints) in order to evaluate the quality of two types of welding using the acoustic emission (AE) method. The AE emission investigation will be carried out while the base metal's constituent elements are being loaded, while the welding process is underway, and while the welded joints are cooling. The task of conducting an efficient AE study for the cast core's quick crystallization process during SST and its correlation with the quality of the welded joints that are produced will be resolved. By developing a new method for automated control and monitoring of electric welding processes and developing a software and hardware complex that will guarantee the application of the automated AE control method to evaluate the quality of the obtained welded joints, the research will enable us to take a significant step forward in the development of technology and techniques for automated non-destructive testing of AEW and SST processes. popup.nrat_date 2025-02-07 Close
